Work accepted in MPSGS!

I got my acceptance notice in Saturday's mail and I'm excited to say all three of my works were juried in to this year's 76th Annual Miniature Painters, Sculptors, and Gravers Society, (MPSGS) exhibit. I am thrilled!! Here is the blog post (second paragraph) with my three works that will be in this exhibit.

On another note, I just got back from North Seattle Community College where I delivered my work. Brenda and her gallery helper, Wendy were busy hanging the show and from the peek I got, it's going to be a very nice show! I can't wait to see it when all the work is up for viewing. Mark your calendars for the opening reception, Tuesday, from 1 - 3 and 6 - 8. The show will be up until November 6th.

Barbara, I know your excitement! I was so thrilled to get my notification saying my 3 had been accepted as well. I would have been happy if just one had been accepted. Congrats, and your works are incredible. I'm sure they will sell! I have some pieces in the North American Show, too...If you visit, take pics, ok? I hope to get to the DC show, and I'll post photos. I'm heading to Fells Point in a few weeks too. Did you have works there?

Oh, good Janie. I'll be looking for you. : ) We didn't have any problems with the directions, but it was in the afternoon and still light. Good luck!

Thanks and Congratulations to you too Deb. I'm not surprised your work was accepted!!!! I hope all our work gets sold! Which North American Show? I'd be really interested to find out anything about the Fells Point Show. I submitted three to the show. I've been watching their websiste for some news and so far nothing. Photos would be great!

Congratulations, Barbara! All 3 works are beautiful! I still think for some reason I personally like silverpoint the best... I didn't try for Washington this year, just didn't have correct frames for their requirements... But I'm pretty sure I'll try for next year! Thank You for your framing advice, it doesn't look so scary as it did at beginning! :-)

Thanks Tatiana. I'm glad the framing info helped you. You'll take the plunge when you are ready, and we'll all be congratulating you!

Thanks Tracy. Sales are always good! I'm just happy to be in this show!

Thanks Autumn. I'm sure it will be a fun show. It was looking really interesting when I made my delivery.

Congrats Barbara on the good news! Sure hope it works out for more of us off the mini Forum to get together at one of the upcoming shows. I never tire of seeing them in person or laughing with friends!

Thanks Rachelle and Wes. Oh, I sure wish I could go. My folks live in Orlando and I had always hoped to make a visit to them and include a side trip down to the Tampa/Clearwater area for the MASF show. Alas, all that will have to wait until the economy picks up and we are in better shape. It would be great to meet all my "online friends" in person and see all the "tiny treasures"! I always enjoy seeing everyones work at the Parkland show here in western WA.
