Dura-lar Matte WIP at STUDIO 206, Waterfront Wednesdays, Mukilteo
Today is Waterfront Wednesday in Oldtown Mukilteo! I'll be at Studio 206 in the Mukilteo Art Building working on a new, just started, graphite drawing on Dura-lar Matte film. If you've ever wondered about using Dura-lar for a surface or wanted to see what it was like, now's your chance! I hope to be there from 4 - 8pm tonight. Stop in and say hi!
Roxanne Jaross, the owner of Studio 206 is sharing the gallery space next to her studio with Janie Olsen and I. I have three landscapes on exhibit from my Italian Hills Series and Janie has a selection of her beautiful and mysterious dog paintings. In addition to the Art Building tour and glass blowing demo, there's also the Farmers' Market, Open Mic Night at the Red Cup Cafe, and a lot of other great happenings. Click on Waterfront Wednesdays for the link on times, events list, and directions. Don't miss out on the fun and don't let a little rain stop you, it's supposed to clear up just for us!!

Hi Barbara! This is looking so wonderful! I wonder if you are familiar with this artist?
http://miniatureartbykhull.blogspot.com/
She just had an article published explaining the how tos of working on the drafting film that will go over several issues. Just thought I'd mention her to you since you mentioned it here. Thought you might be interested in seeing her work, as beautiful as your own!
Hi Sherry, I do know Karen Hull's lovely work. She often comments here on my blog and I her's. I love her beautiful portraits, human and animal. She does such smooth skin tones.
Thanks too for the tip on the garbage can at the bottom of the unwanted published comment. I should have seen that!
Great start Barbara! Grafix sent me a survey, promising free Dura Lar Matte film. It appeared legit. You might contact them to see if you can get in on it. You are ceratinly one of their best spokespersons!
Thanks Deb. Yes, I got their survey. I know I refer to this product often enough! But I do like working on it and it was good to be asked my opinion! Good luck to you in your new venue!!
