Seaside Awards and Judge's Statement

The Awards have been announced and the Judge's Statement has been posted on Seaside Art Gallery's 18th International Miniature Art Show. Congratulations to all of the winners! The show is filled with little gems. Your's truly was mentioned in the Judge's Statement in the oil/acrylic catatory:
"...This was an especially strong media category and other works I would like to recognize were: Barbara Freeman - Hay Bales..."

I am thrilled to have gotten notice for this particular work. I loved working on Hay Bales, it transported me back to the days spent in the Italian countryside. I was able to remember the smells of the autumn leaves, the sounds of the church bells, la doce vita! My heart was in this piece, it must have translated well. The show will continue until May 31st so there is still time to see this show and purchase these tiny treasures. Hay Bales is still available for purchase.
