But I love to cook so I am usually safe at home. Just
forget quick and easy! I won't die or anything if I eat the wrong thing. I'll just feel bad. It comes in many forms, migraine, or nerve pain, very bad inflammation in some area. That sort of thing that can last for several days and make you feel like you have aged 20 years! It can be scary sometimes when you don't know what has caused it. Avoiding the food is much better! I do so miss eating normal though.

I hope you can find time to get back to your studio soon Autumn. Good luck!Barbara A. I can imagine how you must be feeling when felled by a cold or flu. So glad to hear you are on the mend though, Barbara. Can't wait to see what is next out of that BFree Studio!Autumn Leaveshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04010044052621228719noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6089783279710197069.post-86171244632585143322009-12-28T21:09:14.062-08:002009-12-28T21:09:14.062-08:00So sorry to hear you have been sick Barbara, espec...So sorry to hear you have been sick Barbara, especially on Christmas and I hope you feel much better soon!!! I didn't realise you had an egg allergy - I must have missed that in your blogging - that makes eating pre prepared foods a bit difficult. Will catch up in the New Year :)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01840364245091965136noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6089783279710197069.post-64032260678277070302009-12-28T18:09:55.950-08:002009-12-28T18:09:55.950-08:00Hi Janie and thanks. Yes I have used the flax as egg substitute. It works great for baked goods like muffins but you have to be careful because it makes some things too moist and they seem to never get done! I think I made some zucchini pancakes once and had trouble with them. But they tasted great. We use flax all the time, ground and oil. Going to cook some quinoa tonight and bake a delicata squash. I love flax with the two of them. I'm making a frittata for Wayne since I had to break a lot of eggs trying to get one clean for the egg tempera! I didn't have this much trouble the other couple of times I did it! It took me four tries before I got one whole and cleaned off! He's not complaining! : )Barbara A. I really like oat flour -i used to make Chocolate chip cookies with oat flour and they were really good. Off the art subject have you ever used this recipe substitute for an egg:
2T. finely ground flax seeds whisked into 1/3 cup warm water? I have never tried it but sounds interesting. Well to good health for the new year :)Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13981664761082823950noreply@blogger.com
